At the end of March 1997 SCREAMINGFACTOR [SF] was formed in the city of Malang - Indonesia with it's initial formation Evi [vocals], Harry [vocals], Yoyok [guitar], Andre [bass], and Lucky [drums]. Earlier in their career, SF's concept was more Oldschool hardcore / punk, and often covered songs by Sick Of It All, 25 Ta Life, and Vision of Disorder. In 1999, SF released their first single, We Born In Pain, for a local compilation album titled For The Truth [Youth Frontline Records]. Then in early 2000, they re-record their single, Wake Up. The single was included in the compilation We Born With Pain [Never End Records]. After a periode of hiatus and some member changes, eventually with the formation of Novi [vocals], Udin [guitar], Yoyok [guitar], Adon [bass] and Ayok [drums], the band re-record a demo song The Fire That Burns In My Heart in Nero studio [Malang]. The song was included in Solidrock Magazine # 3 [2004] sampler CD and became the soundtrack of an independent film, Jana [2005]. At the end of 2005, SF finally released their debut album under Fukyu Records. Self-titled release was marketed all over Indonesia through independent channels, and gained positive public response . Since this album, their music has shifted towards the metal realm. Arrangements becomes more complex and progressive. The intensity of punk / hc wild welcomes the rock-metal, mathcore, metalcore, to post-hardcore feel. Their single, The Fire That Burns In My Heart was also included in a national compilation, Rock Without Limits [Dapross Records, 2007]. TRAX magazine in its metal issue [January 2006] put them as one of 15 Indonesian bands capable of defining heavy metal in the 21st century. SCREAMINGFACTOR has gone through various types and scales shows and stages in the city of Malang, Sidoarjo, Surabaya, Blitar, Solo, Yogyakarta, to Denpasar. They've also shared the stage with Extreme Decay, Keramat, Antiphaty, Primitive Chimpanzee, Begundal Lowokwaru, Brigade 07, Breath of Despair, Crucial Conflict, Moment of Pain, Mortal Combat, Hands Upon Salvation, / RIF, Burgerkill, Beside, Seringai to Efek Rumah Kaca. After recording of their new material in early 2008, Adon [bass] left the band and was replaced by Harry [ex Kimono]. SF have opened for foreign bands such as SOL [Germany] and Ingrowing [Czech], and Walls of Jericho [USA] in Malang. In mid 2008, SCREAMINGFACTOR released a mini-album titled Welcome Pieces, released digitally via ReloadYourStereo, a project by Apokalip.com netlabel. SF's progress started to attain public's and national media's attention. Rolling Stone magazine referred to them as one of the Bands To Watch in Malang Rock Trip, a special article [February 2009 issue]. SCREAMINGFACTOR was also selected as one of the Indonesian rock band which was featured in Hai Star magazine - metalcore edition - where their single, Welcome Pieces was also included in the edition's CD sampler. SF then joined in the Tribute To Koil; Kami Percaya Kaupun Terbakar Juga compilation project produced by Bakar Collective [Bandung] and was released digitally by RYS / Apokalip in June 2009. In this compilation, SF covered an old Koil track, Ini Semua Hanyalah Fashion. SF had also appeared In events such as Allegiance To Metal Tour 2009 with Pshycroptic (Aussie), Burgerkill, Nemesis (Bdg), Anorma (MLG), Killharmonic (KDR). Currently SCREAMINGFACTOR is working on new materials for their next album which is planned to be released in 2011. They are also intensely seeking and openning opportunities for producers or record labels that will whole-heartedly go side-by-side with SF in producing this next album ...
